1979 Fred Peterson resigned his full-time teaching position to pursue ministry of reaching out to hurting youth
1981 New Hope facility purchased
1984 New Hope Inc. incorporated as N.H.I. Fred Peterson, Executive Director; youth outreach program named TreeHouse
1984 Ministry name changed to Family Hope Services, Inc.
1985 Passages, professional counseling division, added
1985 Passages licensed as outpatient treatment for chemically dependent teens and adults
1986 Passages licensed to offer full mental health services
1986 First annual golf event fundraiser
1986 Minnetonka facility added
1987 Services included TreeHouse and Parent Support Services as well as Passages [licensed therapists] at both Minnetonka and New Hope facility
1988 Brooklyn Park facility added
1989 Plymouth facility added as Family Hope Services headquarters
1992 Chaska facility/retreat center added
1994 First annual sporting clays fundraiser
1995 Passages becomes an independent counseling center
1996 TeenHope Curriculum initiated
1996 Parent Support Services becomes Family Resources
1996 Internship program launched
1999 Kelco Hall built as second building for Brooklyn Park TreeHouse
2000 Celebration of Hope event
2000 Dr. Timothy C. Geoffrion appointed as new Executive Director/CEO of Family Hope Services
2000 Ministry Associates Program (MAP) launched with Hmong outreach in St. Paul, MN, known as Lighthouse
2000 MPD program revised for Youth Outreach Specialists to raise only 50% of salary
2003 Bloomington facility purchased and fifth TreeHouse launched
2003 Ministry Associates Program expanded and renamed TreeHouse Extension Services
2003 TreeHouse Extension Service established - Urban Ventures, Minneapolis, MN, known as Powerhouse

2009 TreeHouse celebrates 25th Anniversary with Legacy of Hope gala
